I hate to ask, but I'm not so sure this storm should have an article. It didn't affect anyone. The article is largely about how the JTWC didn't classify it operationally, but that doesn't make it any more notable as a tropical cyclone. It's essentially a research paper on the storm, providing more detail than we usually do for a pretty typical tropical storm. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:53, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
- There are simple reasons. It was clearly not a typical tropical storm. It was a rare system which could make JTWC upgrade in post-analysis. Except storms affecting people, tropical cyclones with an usual strength or origin should have the independent article in Wikipedia to provide enough meteorological knowledge. If the main reason is a system not affecting anyone, Zeta in 2005, Nida in 2009 and Lekima in 2013 should not have their own article. I guess a half of Atlantic articles would be gone if the phenomenon of merging begins. -- Meow 06:45, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
- Bump. Anything here can easily be condensed into the season article without removing anything. YE Pacific Hurricane 17:08, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
- At least this article has more info than Tropical Storm Erick (2007). 216.24.109.110 (talk) 18:41, 25 June 2017 (UTC)
