The zero ring edit
I've added that this ring is also called the zero ring despite some pages seeming to insist it is not. This is a widely used term though. See for example Cohn's Intro to Ring theory page 10, Lang's Undergraduate Algebra page 84, Rotman's An Introduction to Homological Algebra page 12, Hartshorne's Algebraic Geometry, etc. RobHar (talk) 20:04, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
I would go further and say that in nearly all notable modern books on algebra (Artin, Atiyah and Macdonald, Bourbaki, in addition to those above), this ring is called the zero ring, not the trivial ring. Therefore I would propose renaming this article as "Zero ring" and moving the material currently at the "Zero ring" article into a section at the article Pseudo-ring. - If there is consensus on notability, such a change would be fair. But I'm since a Google books search suggests that "trivial ring" is more common than "zero ring", deciding this will need someone who can assess all the factors. —Quondum 23:29, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
