Talk:Trisha Paytas discography

Removals edit

Hi, I recently made somewhat of a large edit to this page, and it was too large to summarize in the edit summary, so I'm explaining here. I'll just list all the changes I made:

  • Removed Studio Albums table. Given the fact that the album hasn't been released, nor has it obviously charted or even been given a title or release date, an entire table devoted to its worth seems pretty undue weight has been placed upon it.
  • Removed Music Videos section. She already has a videography, and while a lot of discogs display music videos, it's only when the artist does not have a separate videography.
  • Removed iTunes charts per them being WP:BADCHARTS.

After all of these removals, the page seems relatively bare, and without references at all. It wouldn't do too much harm to merge this page back into her main article. Would like to see what others think. Azealia911 talk 20:55, 16 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Consensus violation edit

Consensus discussion in August 2015 resulted in a decision to merge this article with Trisha Paytas. The following June, some fan or WP:COI editor, User:Sweden Rocks hard, blatantly and unilaterally violated that consensus and recreated that page. That is unacceptable behavior and can result in administrator sanctions against that editor or any other editor unilaterally violating a merge consensus. I am restoring the merge and caution promotionally minded editors to respect Wikipedia policies and guidelines.--Tenebrae (talk) 19:32, 2 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

The length of her discography and the number of EPs and singles listed is most definitely long enough to warrant a page of its own; when integrated into her biography, it takes up far too much space and is especially excessive given that she is not primarily known as a recording artist. This "violation" you cited is over two years old and given the significant growth of her discography since 2015, does not really apply here anymore. --Drown Soda (talk) 22:47, 17 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
The articles were merged per community consensus in 2015 at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Trisha Paytas discography, and in 2017 at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of songs recorded by Trisha Paytas. You CANNOT unilaterally disregard community consensus, and if this continues, it would certainly warrant admin notification. If you want to split the discography from the article, then please follow the procedure like everyone else. --Tenebrae (talk) 01:35, 18 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
Additionally. we agree that she is not primarily known as a recording artist, so why we would have a separate article devoted to her recording career eludes me; it feels promotional in order to give her more WIkipedia real estate. I would argue that it's redundant to have a list of her singles and a largely overlapping list of songs she's recorded, so perhaps that's something worth discussing at her article's talk page. --Tenebrae (talk) 02:18, 18 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
