A Main Page error report was submitted, and the DYK on the main page was changed from that listed above, to this:

"A" war, not "the" war, and "Great Britain" rather than "England".

The lead section is far too short and needs to be expanded to fully summarize the article. For example, the context of the alliance, who it was structured against, and other issues should be added to the introduction to give the reader some idea of what the article is about.
