Disputes over Acceptance edit

While Triangle K's kashrus may be in issue within some sectors of the charedi community, it obviously is not in issue in all sectors as R. Ralbag does, presumably, have his followers. What would be appropriate would be to cite according to Wikipedia standards certain charedi rabbonim or communities that don't accept Triangle K. Saying that "all charedim don't accept Triangle K" or even "some charedim don't accept Triangle K" without providing a source is not acceptable for an encyclopedia. Further on this point, the link provided states that it only lists "some" kosher symbols, and makes no claims as to reliability. The link provided is not proof that that Triangle K is not accepted as kosher by any group in particular.Wlmh65 03:04, 24 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

A 2010 NYTimes article notes that "Curiously, those dogs that answer to a higher authority aren’t kosher enough for most Jews who keep kosher." Pi314m (talk) 06:39, 10 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Glatt issue edit

"But while the overwhelming majority of Orthodox Jews only eat glatt kosher, Triangle K continues to certify foods which are not 'glatt'" AFAIK (as an Orthodox Jew), that is not the case. Many Orthodox Jews will eat only glatt, but it is inaccurate that the "overwhelming majority" of Orthodox Jews will only eat glatt. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gavers23 (talkcontribs) 14:28, 18 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

The OU only does Glatt. "A majority" of Orthodox Jews accept OU. Pi314m (talk) 23:37, 8 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Grape juice edit

AFAIK, the major problem is that Triangle K holds there is no 'stam yeinam' today and grape juice/wine products do not require the strictures everyone else imposes. But I am too lazy to do the research. Your mission, should you choose to accept it... 15:51, 18 May 2015 (UTC)

Rabbi Yehosef, obit 2011, age 98 edit

The late founder of Triangle K, Rabbi Yehosef Ralbag, father of Rabbi Aryeh Ralbag, died in 2011, age 98. Due to illness, the name Chaim was added: Chaim Yehosef. In English, Jehoseph H. was sometimes used. The obituary ran in the Jewish Press, Sept. 30, 2011. Even though the father's name is still on the website in 2020, leaving it in the Wikipedia article, as a current administrator of Triangle K, doesn't seem appropriate. Removing ...
