The article had a {{advert}} tag since 2018. In 2021, it has received substantial UPE edits. See diff. MarioGom (talk) 12:29, 2 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

@TriPointe21, CPJatTriPointe: Hello, here's what has been done so far: removed Tri Pointe Homes section that was at the end of the page and consolidated it with the History section; moved LivingSmart info to lead; added references that I will properly format; rearranged and consolidated History section chronology. I will continue to work on this request. Heartmusic678 (talk) 13:34, 31 May 2021 (UTC)Heartmusic678Reply

@TriPointe21, CPJatTriPointe: I revised the first 3 paragraphs of the History, included a third reference in paragraph 2 of the Lead to support the information that was given in this request, formatted Lead citations and reformatted the subsidiaries, removed the Geekwire reference from the Quadrant section (advertising tone), removed repeated info about Winchester and Trendmaker and made a minor language edit to the final sentence of the History. I have not yet addressed the information about Winchester , Trendmaker and the remainder of the History section but will do so and look for information to add about Pardee and TRI Pointe Homes. Thanks. Heartmusic678 (talk) 16:30, 31 May 2021 (UTC)Heartmusic678Reply

@Heartmusic678:Thank you so much for your help. The changes you have made are really helpful. Is it possible to add something about the LivingSmart programs started in 2017 that are covered in this article https://www.builderonline.com/land/local-markets/pardee-homes-opens-1st-all-solar-mpc_o CPJatTriPointe (talk) 17:01, 1 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
@CPJatTriPointe: No problem; it's still a work in progress, but I can add that information. Heartmusic678 (talk) 17:06, 1 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
@CPJatTriPointe: The requests you have made are answered. After communicating with a Wikipedia patroller, the advertisement tag is not going to be removed unless more neutral information is included on the page. If you can provide any information that would help balance out the positive aspects of the page (i.e. all the mentions of what Tri Pointe offers), I can add them to the page. @Heartmusic678: I noticed there are a few things that are not correct and am hoping you would be able to help again. 1) Founded In Irvine, CA, not Irving 2) now headquartered in Incline Village, Nevada (here is an article https://www.ocregister.com/2021/01/19/homebuilder-tri-pointe-rebranding-local-builders-under-a-one-name/) 3) Current CFO is Glenn Keeler (https://www.cfo.com/people/2019/07/cfos-on-the-move-week-ending-july-26-2/) 4) Tri Pointe does not build anything commercial or apartments 5) Building in Maryland, VA and Carolinas, so can we add Eastern. I'm confused about the flag and "neutral" information and will give that some thought. Thank you for your help CPJatTriPointe (talk) 17:44, 28 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi @CPJatTriPointe: The page has been updated. I did not add the eastern U.S. as one of the regions in which Tri Pointe has a presence because the region includes all states east of the Mississippi River. MD, VA, NC and SC are all a part of the southern United States.
I was told by a Wikipedia patroller that in order to help neutralize the tone of this particular page, controversial news or criticism would help balance out the positive notes and selling points (initiatives, LivingSmart, Awards & Recognition) included on the page. Help edit

HI - I am new and could use some help. I am an employee of Tri Pointe, and it looks like some unauthorized employees have been posting. With our name change and everything, my understanding is that I declare that I work for the company, and looking at the rules I will post proposed changes on the talk page. Thank you so much. TriPointe21 (talk) 16:27, 9 April 2021 (UTC).Reply

CPJatTriPointe: Just to be clear: it does not seem they were only unauthorized employees, but also a US marketing agency hired to do undisclosed paid editing on this article. MarioGom (talk) 17:50, 5 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

I am not sure if this is the right way but I need some help with updates to this page. We had a rebrand earlier this year and the subsidiaries listed do not currently exist under those names but the names should stay on here under the History heading because they are a part of our History. In 2014 TP Group merged with WRECO and added the 5 subsidiaries to the brand - Winchester, Quadrant, Maracay, Trendmaker and Pardee. Can someone help with this? Here are some sources:

an article about the purchase of the subsidiaries https://www.seattletimes.com/business/weyerhaeuser-selling-homebuilding-unit-in-27b-deal/

two articles about the rebrand https://www.forbes.com/sites/johnmcmanus/2021/01/19/homebuilders-are-rebranding-to-catch-the-epic-tech-stock-wave-heres-how/?sh=70e6d7a37368, https://www.ocregister.com/2021/01/19/homebuilder-tri-pointe-rebranding-local-builders-under-a-one-name/

an article about technology in homes, it would be nice to add this kind of information https://www.seattletimes.com/business/amazon/amazons-alexa-is-now-at-home-in-new-subdivisions-hotels/ CPJatTriPointe (talk) 18:57, 17 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have some other articles to share that may help. It would be great if we could remove all the subject titles for each subsidiary and just talk about the acquisition of them and have a little about each one as part of the History. I also added the article about technology, here is one that talks about HomeSmart https://www.constructiondive.com/news/tri-pointe-adds-smart-home-platform-to-new-home-offerings/440760/ or this one https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2018/10/31/1639976/0/en/TRI-Pointe-Group-to-Deepen-Investment-in-Smart-Home-With-Homes-Featuring-Amazon-Alexa-Across-All-Six-of-Its-Homebuilder-Brands.html

Information on the Tri Pointe Connect https://www.tripointeconnect.com/ that could be included Thanks for your help! CPJatTriPointe (talk) 19:50, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
