Points Tidbit edit

He will also be the first driver to not receive any points for winning the Daytona 500, as Bayne is collecting points in the Nationwide Series.--Subman758 (talk) 22:45, 20 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Unless he and the team notify NASCAR officials that they wish to change to running a full Cup season. TyVulpine (talk) 23:11, 20 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Is that possible? And would then this win count? For now the "anti-buschwhackers-Rule" works perfect - 6 races, 5 pointless winners :) --TheK (talk) 02:24, 4 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Apparently not. NASCAR has stated that even if they switched now, they would not receive points for the win. TyVulpine (talk) 22:48, 10 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Lee Petty edit

Lee Petty's win in his first attempt is not comparable. It was everyone's first attempt. That needs clarification or else it is misleading. Quit reverting factual information that is clarifying. 71.68.238.52 (talk) 23:25, 20 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hospitalization? edit

Trevor is currently in the hospital for symptoms believed to be caused by an insect bite. Should I add this?Raganbaby6 (talk) 22:27, 3 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Not sure. There are many refs, including this one that claim the bite is not thought to be related to the bite.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 00:54, 4 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

2012 SPRINT CUP RECORD edit

Yahoo shows 4 more starts in Chase races: Charlotte, Kansas, Texas, Homestead (with finishes in the 20's). Who is right? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bobby gray (talkcontribs) 19:37, 19 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Daytona 500 edit

The lede calls this "the largest" race in NASCAR.

Is this really the best description?

It seems to downplay the rest of the season.

How about "most prestigious race" instead? 2600:1012:B047:867A:0:56:1D53:6B01 (talk) 23:56, 20 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
