Some content is based on personal opinions, for example, "Carpanini's still do some cracking pies" and "The cardiff arms cafe is the best." The article needs to be neutral and unbiased. It seems that some content has been added as a joke. When referring to John Connelly, it is said that "the pupils applaud and cheer him on as he jogs the 300 yards to school every morning, as he waves back." This sort of content is likely to be fictitious and unnecessary. Satchy 14:40, 30 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I completely agree. I will delete these joke inputs. --FruitMonkey 09:59, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Treorchy is connected to the category 'Towns in RCT' but is classified as a village in the introduction. As it once was the commercial hub of the area (reflected in the number of banks, weekly market and branded shops) should it be reclassified as a town?--FruitMonkey 10:51, 10 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Some errors noticed.

edit

After reading through the page I noticed a few areas I feel should be corrected. Firstly in the Transport section it reads:- "There are several roads linking Treorchy to other towns and villages. The A4061 leads over the Bwlch y Clawdd Pass, and by this road it is possible to travel to Bridgend via the Ogmore Vale and to Maesteg and Port Talbot." I believe the error here is the fact that where the A4061 goes over the Bwlch y Clawdd Pass this area is actually Cwmparc and not Treorchy.

My next area of note is the Entertainment section:- It states that the Parc and Dare hall is an attraction of the Treorchy area, which I totally agree with, but surely it should be mentioned that the collieries that gave their name to this hall were actually from the neighboring Cwmparc area.

Lastly the section Notable People:- The former professional footballer and now manager Geraint Williams isn't from Treorchy. He is from Cwmparc. His name from Treorchy's notable people should be deleted.

I hope this has not offended anyones hard work on this page.

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scooby82 (talkcontribs) 11:47, 29 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
