Revision edit

I edited this article on 10.21.21. This was also a good article but needed more images. I tried finding more images through Creative Commons but there are actually many sub species of the lizard that are striped or have different patterns that were not addressed in this article. I also adjusted the one paragraph in the article with the following sentence: “Egernia striolata is listed as “Least Concern” in the IUCN Red List with a currently stable population. It has no specific conservation actions.[1]” This was to fix both the grammar and also to better represent the original article. Akhil.kesaraju

Addition of Information edit

Added information on captive care and also changed some headings in the initial article.Williamalewis (talk) 20:55, 19 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Added information and sources throughout the article. Improved lead, added more to habitat and distribution, and behavior. Created sections for home range and territoriality, diet, predators, and reproduction. Please feel free to review any of my content and change/improve it if you would like. Made some line edits and reworded a few sentences. Most changes were made in the lead, the description, the taxonomy, the habitat, and the territoriality section. Added only a few more pieces of actual information. Great job expanding this article! Tulipsareverypretty (talk) 17:00, 14 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Made some minor edits in renaming headers (changed Reproduction to Reproduction and Life Cycle, etc.) A very thorough and specifically worded article with excellent organization. Did not require many changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Quill Quips (talkcontribs) 22:56, 19 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Made some minor edits in spelling and syntax for clarification throughout the piece. I also made a minor edit to clarify what aggression behaviors may look like in the competition section. I also included the citations for conservation status Nvytrinh (talk) 04:57, 20 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Suggestions edit

I love the lead on this page, it is detailed and provides a great overview of the entire article. Other than the changes I made that I outlined in the talk page, there are a few suggestions I would propose. In the description of the lizard, I might suggest adding a picture to illustrate the coloration and patterns along the body of the lizard. Additionally, the captive care section is currently lacking citations, it might be helpful to add the source! I would also be curious to learn about how the lizards escape from their predator. Are there mechanisms that helps the species to identify the presence of predators? I know some lizards will often opt to lose their tail to run away from predation, is this the same for this species?
