Hi; I'd like to request a multimove of this page (to Treasure chest) and for the page at Treasure Chest to be moved to Treasure Chest (comic book series). After these moves, Treasure Chest should be redirected to Treasure chest to ensure that all usages are recorded on one page (this one). The below rationale is copied from WP:RM:

The disambiguation page should be located at Treasure chest because "treasure chest" does not mainly refer to the comic book series. In addition, the "C" in Chest should not be capitalized for the disambiguation page, because it does not always appear capitalized (see WP:CAPS).

Please indicate your support of the move by *'''Support''' or *'''Oppose''', then sign your comment with ~~~~. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, feel free to explain your rationale if it differs from the one above, or ask any questions related to the nomination. • Support - in fact, I'm not sure we shouldn't be having Treasure chest (historical) as the main article (though it's fairly lousy in its current form). The Evil Spartan 04:46, 30 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
    • You have a point. After all, that's the term on which the others are based (in some way or another), and almost always the main thing one thinks of when the term "treasure chest" is mentioned. But it could certainly do with an illustration and expansion. Which would you support more: having the base term as Treasure chest, or having the disambiguation page there? GracenotesT § 05:01, 30 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
      • The first: having the base term treasure chest. The Evil Spartan 05:14, 30 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
        • I'll change the suggested moves, since I agree with your logic. GracenotesT § 19:11, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • Treasure Chest (comics) would be consistent with the nomenclature in Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics. I would support that.--Tenebrae 23:51, 31 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Okay, the new set of moves is:

  1. Treasure chest (historical)Treasure chest
  2. Treasure ChestTreasure Chest (comics)
  3. Treasure Chest (disambiguation)Treasure chest (disambiguation)

The reasons for each are:

  1. Treasure chest in the historical sense is the root of the other terms, and the most common usage.
  2. The article at "Treasure Chest" should be moved to a more specific page; moving it to "Treasure Chest (comics)" is more in line with WP:COMICS nomenclature and naming conventions, according to Tenebrae.
  3. "Treasure Chest" is not always referred to in upper case, so the disambiguation page should use lower case for the second word per WP:CAPS.

One loose end to be tied, after this is done:

  1. "Treasure Chest" should redirect to Treasure chest as {{R from other capitalisation}}

This is getting a bit complicated, so if anyone has any questions or criticisms, feel free to list them. If you prefer the first set of moves (rather than this set), please say so. Otherwise, support if you agree with it. Thanks, GracenotesT § 19:23, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
