WOW!! This article needs LOTS of work, Jim (talk) 13:13, 1 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

It would be absolutely fantastic if you could explain your reasoning in assuming an allusion to William Kidd is somehow contradictory in the context of pirates hiding treasure. Other than claiming the article needs work and that there is a contradiction; I do not see your argument to support such claims. Please elaborate, that's all.

Duplication edit

The treasure maps section is duplicated as a separate article here. Much of the text is the same, but they've diverged slightly over time. Probably the mappy stuff should be removed from this article with a stub-section and a {{main|treasure map}} tag used to send people off to that article.

I'll fix it myself in a while if no-one else does. Possibly. Squiddy | (squirt ink?) 15:03, 7 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've just seen the same problem and done exactly this, eight years later. --Lord Belbury (talk) 12:19, 23 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Spanish Silver Train edit

Under 'Pirates' - 'raiding the train at Nombre de Dios' - I presume this refers to the Spanish Silver Train.

I'll come back to this later and put in the link, unless someone thinks it's not the case - authors?Wodawik (talk) 01:07, 10 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Treasure edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Treasure's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 14:15, 21 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
