  •   The article was nominated on the same day it was moved to mainspace, so is new enough. At ~3000 characters, it is long enough and properly uses in-line citations. The hook is short enough, interesting, and is cited in-line. The QPQ is done. Looks good to go! SilverserenC 22:37, 23 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I'll be reviewing this article, using the template below. —Ganesha811 (talk) 11:21, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Sahaib: the GA review has turned up noticeable copyright violations (see below). If these are not promptly fixed (say, within 24 hours) this will be a quickfail per the GA criteria.
@Ganesha811:, I fixed it yesterday. Sahaib (talk) 13:03, 5 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, looks like the issue is addressed. I'll continue with the rest of the review. —Ganesha811 (talk) 13:24, 5 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Apologies for the slow review, I am dealing with covid at the moment and will return to this in the next few days. —Ganesha811 (talk) 13:18, 12 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Sahaib, the review is about done. Just let me know if creating a map of Ludlow's route is something you want to do; if not, no worries, it won't prevent this article from reaching GA. —Ganesha811 (talk) 12:27, 14 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ganesha811, a couple of months I tried making a map (File:Map of Travis Ludlow's flight.jpg) but it wasn’t that good. I might attempt to make a map again in the future or maybe someone else will as I have added the Map needed template to the talk page. Anyway, thanks for reviewing this article. 🙂 Sahaib (talk) 16:09, 14 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Understandable. If you ever make a better one, add it! In the meantime, this article passes GA. I should say, though; another reviewer might have just quickfailed it on the copyright issues. That's was a big problem, and though you fixed it quickly, in the future, make absolutely sure your articles are free of copyvio before nominating them for GA. For now, though, congrats to you and anyone else who worked on it! —Ganesha811 (talk) 20:48, 14 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Rate Attribute Review Comment
1. Well-written:
1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct.
  • I have gone through and made prose tweaks myself, as is my usual habit. If there are any changes you do not like, just let me know and we can discuss. Provisional pass.
1b. it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation.
  • Pass, no issues.
2. Verifiable with no original research:
2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline.
  • Pass - references check out and spot check shows the right sources are used in the right places.
2b. reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose).
  • All reliable - Guinness World Records is fine.
2c. it contains no original research.
  • Pass, none found.
2d. it contains no copyright violations or plagiarism.
  • Earwig finds significant copyvios from the Guinness, Telegraph, and BBC sources, including but not limited to the following sentences and phrases:
    • He stopped in Texas for a few days to get his second coronavirus jab
    • Travis surpassed the minimum distance required to break the world record which is the Earth's circumference at the Equator when he flew from Donegal, Ireland, to Gibraltar on 9 July 2021
    • spokeswoman said in order to break the record he must supply an official flight log containing details of all take-off and landing times, as well as photographic and video evidence, and witness statements.
    • and arrived back after traversing four continents, 15 countries and 63 stop
    • he had an ambition to break the record for flying solo around the world in an electric aircraft.

These issues must be fixed promptly or this will be a quickfail. —Ganesha811 (talk) 23:13, 3 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Issues addressed, pass on copyvio.
3. Broad in its coverage:
3a. it addresses the main aspects of the topic.
  • Unable to find anything else notable or worth adding to the article. This would be unusually short for a GA, but an encyclopedia article doesn't have to be long. It's possible some would find its notability questionable (WP:BLP1E) but GA review is not a notability review so I will not consider that here. Pass.
3b. it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style).
  • Pass, no issues.
  4. Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each.
  • Pass, no issues.
  5. Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute.
  • Currently stable, no edit wars or issues on talk, pass.
6. Illustrated, if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio:
6a. media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content.
  • Pass.
6b. media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions.
  • I understand if it's not something you can be bothered with, but creating a map of his route would add a lot to the article.
    • Discussed above. Pass.
  7. Overall assessment.
