References needed edit

This article identifies a number of well-known people as "trash talkers." Where are the citations to back any of this up? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 141.154.220.74 (talk) 19:10, 8 December 2006 (UTC).Reply

I've removed the list. It was not appropriate for an encyclopedia, not easily referenced, and would have been continuously in flux. Any prominent examples that cite reliable secondary or tertiary sources can be covered in the article's prose. ×Meegs 19:23, 8 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

This article might be better suited for that project. --AEMoreira042281 21:57, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Chael Sonnen edit

I'm removing him from the See Also, as there are much more famous trash talkers not mentioned it seems silly to mention him here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.40.1.129 (talk) 17:34, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Needs (major) Improvement edit

Lead section is clear and does a good job of giving an overview of what trash talk is but it fails to address the other potential uses of trash-talk. Trash-talk can also be used in terms of gossiping among everyday people or in music/rap (e.g. Taylor Swift vs Katy Perry). This article only explores its use in sports. As well, many of the sentences lack citations. The last reference, Blizzard , is unclear and seems irrelevant to the overall purpose of the article (http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/legal/eula.html). This post is from four students participating in an Intertwine video chat session designed to edit Wiki articles. Not hyphenated edit

Trash talk is unhyphenated by every dictionary I consulted, so I've removed the hyphen. Here's Merriam-Webster as a source for the hyphen's removal: Trash talk. Keystone18 (talk) 20:55, 15 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
