Ventnor (ex-)stations edit

The current links for Ventnor's now-closed stations are (IMO) incorrect! The first one (in the discussion) leads to the article about Ventnor in general... 'There were 2 stations at Ventnor:'. I agree with this one.
What I don't agree with is that the point about Ventnor Station also leads there, instead of to Ventnor railway station. The ones for Ventnor West/Ventnor Town lead to non-existent articles! I have re-written that section so the links are correct...
If anyone strongly believes this should be reversed, please comment below and let me know on my talk page.

Public Transport Map edit

I felt one was needed, and I produce one normally twice per year to roughly coincide with the bus timetable changes. Again, if you feel it isn't appropriate, or anything else related, please comment below.

Transport or transportation? edit

Since this is an article on a UK topic, shouldn't the title be "Transport on the Isle of Wight", not "Transportation on the Isle of Wight"? LDHan (talk) 11:22, 22 April 2008 (UTC).Reply

I did think that, as most of the other UK articles I see are "transport", but I don't suppose it really matters as long as "transportation" is maintained throughout the article. Arriva436talk 15:05, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Before the article was created there was discussion on the Isle of Wight talk page that a new article should be created, 'Transportation on the Isle of Wight'. Thats where the title came from. I think it would work as either. Transport on the Isle of Wight redirects here anyway. Editor5807 (talk) 17:04, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ferry: Boat →Ship edit

Surely all the car ferries and passenger ferries (possibly with the exception of the Red Jet) serving the island are too big to be classed as boats? I've redone the wiki link to go to ship instead. Any problem with this, as ever, post here or on my talk page. --Peeky44 (talk) 16:19, 9 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

September 2010 bus changes edit

I have made a new public transport map based on one of Peeky44's other ones. It is up to date with September's changes. I have decided to put in in the article now, as, although it obviously isn't in date yet, the previous map was from September 2009. With the timetable changes of December 2009 and April 2010, that map was just as out of date. The new map has a few things I've decided I want to tweak, and I've noticed a couple of things that need to be adjusted, but if anyone finds any mistakes then please tell me! (or update the map). I should add that the thing I've noticed is the X10/X11 having the wrong line type. Arriva436talk/contribs 19:38, 9 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
