National Highway Network edit

Please see the NHAI documents for the official information on NHs. The Golden Quadrilateral is the primary highway network, and the Port Connectivity link from Salem to Kochi is part of that. Also, NH-47 start from Salem and goes to Kanyakumari, NOT the other way around. The version I made correctly depicts the facts. Please discuss here before blindly reverting. I know your intention; go somewhere else grandpa!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.193.164.8 (talk) 08:42, 15 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

The above comment is not a valid argument. If you have a valid argument to make, please do so. Unless you do, my edit shall stand. DileepKS69 (talk) 09:03, 15 November 2010 (UTC) Verified the NHAI documents and even the maps provided there. So please check again.Salem is NOT a part of Golden Quadrilateral, but it is part of North-South Corridor.--Induzcreed (talk) 09:23, 15 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Indus, That is correct. There are three parts for the GQ project. The GQ proper, the NSEW and the port connectivity links. Together they form the primary highway network of the country, as it is clear from the NHAI documents. Together they are called the GQ project for convenience. In any case, the port connectivity link is the key here. It connects the city to the rest of the country.
Just curious, were you the original editor?

You just noted the NHAI documents here also in Kochi's main page and I verified. Also, verified the related wikipages like National Highways in India and the State Highways in Kerala. Also, the Kerala PWD Site.Other than these info,I've no idea about these.FYI,also checked the Indian Railways website and the details provided by you in Kochi page.Of course I'm having the Railway Time Table too.So after verification only I edited. I didn't understand by "were you the original editor?" Thanks,

I agree on your edit of the highway section. There is a bit of grammar problem in the sentence on NH-47. Thanks.

oo...Can you point out that??If so,I can edit that..
Thanks..--Induzcreed (talk) 10:46, 15 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
The sentence "which is fastly developing as a major commercial high street." is NOT relevant to a transport page..What say??
Thanks

The NH 47 originating from Salem connects Kochi connects important cities of Tamil Nadu like Coimbatore,Erode, via Thrissur and Palakkad and also connects with state capital Thiruvananthapuram and terminates at Kanyakumari .

See the highlight.

I agree on the commercial high street part. It may be removed. DileepKS69 (talk) 11:05, 15 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
Edited the grammatical error and deleted the sentence which is not relevant. Thanks for pointing out the errors.Expecting such co-operation in future.
Thanks

Removing of picture edit

As a part of old transportation in Kochi, a tricycle picture can be included in the article. Dileep, please stop this attitude of editwarring on each and every thing related to Kochi and Trivandrum.--Samaleks (talk) 04:01, 18 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
