Title

This article was once named "Transportation in Australia" instead of "Transport in Australia"

I agree with m.e.- transportation in Australia means convicts. Why do we have to copy US usage? In Australia the word "transport" is used. Thortful 05:16, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Tunnels

There is no mention of the role tunnels play in Australian transport. Should the major tunnels have at least a paragraph in this article? The Tunnels in Australia category has 10 listed and there is also List of tunnels in Australia - Shiftchange 00:52, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Runway Length Measurements

I thought the runway length measurements were a bit strange, until I realised they were converted from feet, so I've added feet so that they are more useful for comparison purposes. 124.176.58.145 00:47, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Conflict between article and list

The article states that "Australia has the second highest level of car ownership in the world." But the list it links to (List of countries by vehicles per capita) has Australia at 6th, with the USA at #2. JasonK33 (talk) 12:10, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

Including active transport

I think there is a big gap in this article as there is no mention of walking or cycling which are significant parts of transport in Australia. Just wanted to check before I added these in that there isn't a reason why they are excluded? I can't think of one. Thanks. Takerlamar (talk) 02:26, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
