transition/transversion rate
editcan anyone provide more clues on why transition is more frequent to observe than transversion? surely transition is chemically more likely to take place, but I think that transversion is also more easily recognized and corrected by cell repair machinery, isn't it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.145.56.241 (talk) 19:52, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
