Progress:
I already updated the infobox and added some new sections such as references and external links w/ its contents. Peculator TC 06:31, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

I've removed the Transformers 3 section w/ its contents as well as added new cast and characters table but its incomplete yet so you can contribute too if you want. Peculator TC 11:01, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

can i add the transformers there or just humans? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Betos01 (talkcontribs) 19:00, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Well, you can add things that related to Transformers but it must be appropriate as well as related to the movies.

Nice edit there... but it need some changes and I'll make it happen, soon. Peculator TC 10:47, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Your charts are awesome. I've been looking at Aliens for reference on how franchise pages are supposed to work on Wikipedia. All the TF film pages seem pretty unwieldy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Redqueenar (talkcontribs) 21:51, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

I've got a great idea...

How's about we STOP adding ANYTHING regarding Transformers 3 until it has actualyl been worked on? There's no script and no casting haven't been done yet and how's about let's refrain from editing for that kind of thing until say, 2 years from now, when they actually have a script and new characters to deal with? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.128.60.173 (talk) 13:58, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

I have a great idea myself. Why doesn't everyone take a look at the first Transformers movie that came out in 1986 that was a cartoon. IMDb has it listed, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092106/, and yet no one that has put information on this site has entered information on it. Did you not know or did you not care. It is a cartoon movie that was released in theaters. That makes 5 movies, not 4. <[1] signed.. KJ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.133.84.88 (talk) 00:35, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Cast and characters

Where is everyone getting all of this hot rod, rollbar no one even knows and people just keep adding transformers, where do they even get all of this stuff anyway its speculation which means it should be removed Ghost07 (talk) 02:57, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

Most of it is coming from a fansite that, unfortunately, is the most common source found in the transfromers film articles. I've been told such a source is unacceptable and asked for input on the thrid film's article and at the Films project. Unfortunately, no one seems to have had the inclination to check into it for whatever reason. In all honestly, I will likely just take these pages off my list and let the fancruft do what it will. It's way too much work to keep it out. Millahnna (mouse)talk 16:38, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

Frenzy's so called "head cameo"

The appearance of his inanimate head doesn't qualify as a cameo and certainly does not deserve mention in a character's list. --uKER (talk) 06:23, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

All three films are about ancient astronauts

Revenge of the Fallen is already classified as Category:Ancient astronauts in fiction, but with Megatron having been on earth long ago as shown in the first film, and there clearly being some sort ancient transformer in the 3rd film, shouldn't all three films and this franchise article be classified as the same? I'll do it, but not until I know just how ancient the transformer(s) in Dark of the Moon is/are. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.254.83.49 (talk) 00:23, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Why is there a poster for Dark of the Moon on the front cover of this article? Shouldn't there be something like a picture of the three disk collection of the transformers films? Why emphisize the third film? The Shadow-Fighter (talk) 15:53, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

Major issues in plot summaries, cleanup tag added

The plot summaries are a mess. "Revenge" is the worst, it appears to be badly translated from another language & big sections are almost unreadable, but several of the other summaries also have major grammar and fact issues (for instance the dates at the beginning of "Dark" clearly make no sense). Those sections need work, and "Revenge" needs almost a complete re-write. JamesG5 (talk) 08:28, 13 March 2016 (UTC)

Guys according to The Wrap Isabella Miner confirmed for casting a female lead role of an orrphan teenager named Izabella In upcoming transformer 5 movie .I think we should add it in description. For proof you can see here..

Article Rename

Shouldn't this article (and it's list articles) be renamed to Transformers Cinematic Universe? I guess it was renamed but there was no discussion about it so I'm starting one now: we should rename it to Transformers Cinematic Universe since that's what Hasbro and Paramount have been referring to it as for a few years now. —Jman98 23:27, 8 August 2017 (UTC)

PostTrak

I'd like to include PostTrak scores in addition to CinemaScore, and for this series I think there's a good chance of there being enough sources to include it.

One question though, which score is best to include? For example with Bumblebee PostTrak gave the film an 86% overall positive score and a 68% "definite recommend".[1]

With Transformers: The Last Knight PostTrak reported filmgoers gave a 75% overall positive score and a 55% "definite recommend".[2]

Runtimes

This article includes the runtimes for all the films in two different tables. This seems redundant. (Having them listed twice causes problems, I recently had to fix the tables because the runtimes did not all match up.)

Before May 2020 the runtimes were only listed in the second table (Additional crew and film details),[2] but it seems more logical to include runtimes in the first table only, and remove them from the second table. Opinions? -- 109.76.210.190 (talk) 14:00, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

I've gone ahead and removed the runtimes from the second table.[3] There does not seem to be any point in listing them twice. -- 109.78.202.222 (talk) 21:17, 20 March 2021 (UTC)

Thanks. -- 109.78.202.222 (talk) 01:50, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
And without any discussion or explanation User:DisneyMetalhead moved the runtimes to the second table. He has also used the unnecessary abbreviation "mins" instead of minutes, again for no apparent reason, more sloppy work for others to clean up. -- 109.76.137.77 (talk) 18:45, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

@Special:Contributions/109.76.137.77; that edit was not "sloppy work" for others to cleanup as you insinuated. I adjusted the runtime to the second table, because this is common/customary to other film series and franchise articles. The basic film information (i.e.: title, release date, director, screenwriter, story-writer, and producers) is typically used in the film table. Meanwhile all other notable information is in the crew and production details table. Lastly, the abbreviated form of "minutes" to "mins" is also commonplace, m8! Cheers.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 22:15, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

Moving the runtimes from one table to another is one thing, but there was no need to use unnecessary abbreviations while doing it. It's another small detail, another unnecessary overcomplication that doesn't make the article any better or clearer. Keep it simple. -- 109.76.137.77 (talk) 23:23, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

Directors

Hallo. I personally think that Josh Cooley should be on the table as *Josh Cooley (8). Because the movie will be out in 2024 and it's animation so it already is in production. And the "please don't add information about movies that haven't yet commenced filming" does not affect it. Because how you want film animation? There won't be anything live-action in it. 2A02:810B:40C0:8B4:5978:3154:3BEE:BA45 (talk) 10:57, 21 February 2022 (UTC)

I've added a note below asking editors in general to be more careful about future happenings but I will also address, Josh Cooley specifically.
Anon ipv6 editor stated "it's animation so it already is in production", but we do not actually know that yet for sure. (In fact sources seem to indicate the opposite, that it is not even out of the script stage and is going back for another draft with Cooley). Please note carefully the guidelines Wikipedia:NFF which I repeatedly highlighted already, they specifically state "In the case of animated films, reliable sources must confirm that the film is clearly out of the pre-production process, meaning that the final animation frames are actively being drawn and/or rendered, and final recordings of voice-overs and music have commenced." The film is not there yet, and with a schedule release date (which could change) of July 2024, it seems unlikely that it would be in the final stages before 2024 either.
Films are large projects that take years to complete and directors can change. Until the film is finished and released there are many details we cannot be certain will stay the same. This is supposed to be an encyclopedia not a news source, we should not rush to report things that seem to be correct right at this minute and change it later, sometimes we just have to wait until we know for sure. -- 109.78.199.168 (talk) 13:16, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
Also please be more careful when adding hidden comments to encyclopedia articles.[4] Your own commentary or arguments are acceptable in edit summaries or in talk page discussions but they do not belong in hidden comments in the wiki markup. -- 13:24, 21 February 2022 (UTC)

Future

Please remember this is supposed to be an encyclopedia and this articles is supposed to be an overview of the franchise as a whole. I know people are enthusiastic about adding new things to Encyclopedia articles and I understand that, but Wikipedia is not news and please do not speculate about the future WP:CRYSTALBALL. Please wait until actual details are available from reliable sources instead of adding almost entirely empty rows to tables[5] or writing at length about "untitled" projects that we cannot be sure will ever come to pass.

Please note the guidelines on Future films WP:NFF and if a film has not been released yet consider carefully if there really is enough information from reliable sources to justify adding anything about it to this article. -- 109.78.199.168 (talk) 12:53, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
