Bob McLean, Mario Andretti and Don Wester edit

1986 Champion Dallenbach edit
If I recall correctly, Dallenbach won the drivers championship driving a Camaro for Protofab in 1986. Roush/Protofab split after the 1985 season, Protofab(Selix & Pratt) signed with Chevy with Roush staying with Ford. I'll try to dig further on this.

Vandalism edit
Someone keeps changing this page, adding the Pontiac GTO/Pontiac Tempest and the Corvair under the General Motors section. I would like to state that the 1964 GTO could not have been used, as the league did not exist until 1966. Also, the Corvair is not a five liter car and obviously did not compete in 1965. Not Vandalism edit
Actually a privateer team used a 1964 Tempest in the series, it was headed up by Herd Adams, driven by Bob Tullis and nicknamed "the Grey Ghost". The car was legalized by the FIA in 64 and was thus legal to race in the Trans Am. The Chevy Corvair was not a 5.0 liter car, but nethier was the Dart or Mustang that ran in the first season ( the 289 CID is about 4.7 liters.) It was over 2.5 liters and thus forced to race with the faster Mustangs and Darts. It was never competative but it DID race in the 5.0 liter categroy.
The historic Trans am site WWW.Trans-ameries.com has plenty of SCCA archives that will bear this out.

Help with seasons edit

Would the following be an accurate change? Source problem maybe?
