This seems good enough. There were a few issues with the language, but I tried to fix that. Lampman (talk) 01:54, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

speculative statement/original research? edit

under cultural references, the last line is

"Archer calls the .25 calibre pistol he keeps in his underwear a Chekhov."

where chekhov is hyperlinked to the article "Chekhov's Gun" anyone familiar with both the episode and the concept of Chekhov's Gun will understand that the point being made was that the gun would come up later as a critical plot point, however it's deliberately not, and instead a poisonous pen is used and the gun is mentioned as not being the driving factor in the new plot development. Now, of course the entire reason the gun is referred to as a Chekhov is meant as a joke about the entire concept of Chekhov's gun and the fact that it's specifically used in this show to not be what a normal person would expect. However, this is wikipedia, where the obvious is not a good enough reason for the statement of clear and undeniable facts, where things must be referenced by some jackass who gets paid to put his opinion on the etherspace of the internet, regardless of whether or not he's just stating the obvious or summarizing actual research. If it's not got a by-line, it's not relevant o the article. So I'm going to delete this line, because it implies that the gun was named specifically as a mention to the concept of chekhov's gun without any evidence beyond the dots given to us in 10th grade english and connected by the experience of a lifetime of rational thought, instead of some link that was plastered at the bottom of the article. k thx 24.136.136.42 (talk) 11:15, 3 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
