This page was written by fans, for fans. I have no financial stakes or special interest in promoting this site beyond trying to share it with as many people like me as possible and to give it the righteous due that I feel it deserves. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dannymears (talkcontribs) 01:01, 31 July 2010 (UTC) Dannymears (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. Nevertheless, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for promotional purposes. There is no valid reason for mentioning this site on every page of every contributor. --Ckatzchatspy 09:44, 31 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ckatz, I suppose I'm not understanding why you think systematically going through WP to link commentators with one of their venues necessarily constitutes self-promotion. Regardless of whether Dannymears has any connection to the website, mentioning that an artist such as Rick Baker has a new gig commenting on film somewhere is noteworthy. Certainly, were this Academy Award-winner doing it, say, on the Independent Film Channel or AMC we wouldn't quibble about someone systematically linking all of IFC's commentators to their WP page. Agreed. Trailers From Hell is a growing, noteworthy cinematic resource. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dannymears (talkcontribs) 00:07, 1 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Seconded - While the page does need fleshing out more, I don't believe it's advertising, and I don't see any problem with linking commentators pages back to the article. --Tonym001 (talk) 19:56, 2 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I agree. Trailers From Hell has actually become a modern-day cult phenomenon. When someone hears of it or wants to read about it's creation etc., Wikipedia is as valid a source as any other web outlet if not the primary source. I think this article is verified and truly a justifiable addition to Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mebman (talkcontribs) 21:06, 10 August 2010 (UTC) Mebman (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.
