Not based on Avalon edit

Based on the Avalon? Not according to Car and Driver: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/hot_lists/car_shopping/suvs_family_haulers/2009_toyota_venza_first_drive_review

According to them, it's based on the Camry and Highlander (which are related). Can someone please fix. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.211.251.118 (talk) 06:07, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Crossover SUV? edit

Why does this article characterize this vehicle as a crossover SUV? Other sources classify it as a wagon. =Axlq 05:56, 3 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I would suppose because of the high ride height.Ronstew (talk) 05:00, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Assembled in China? edit

Teddy.Coughlin (talk · contribs) has asserted that the Venza is assembled in China using http://www.gac-toyota.com.cn/vehicles/venza as a reference. Unfortunately this reference only shows that it is being sold in China, it does not say anything about where it is assembled. The article already has a link to http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2015/03/toyota-venza-axed.html which says "Assembly of the Venza at Toyota’s Georgetown, KY plan will cease in June, or at least assembly of models for the US market will, with export models being built until 2017." To me, that strongly implies that TMMK (the Kentucky plant) makes export models. Does anyone have a reference that shows that the Venza is actually built in China?  Stepho  talk  01:18, 16 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Succeeded by C-HR ? edit

Edits by anon-IP addresses keep saying that the Venza was succeeded by the C-HR. How can an MPV be succeeded by a compact SUV?  Stepho  talk  23:24, 17 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
