Whitehall Town and Country references edit

I thought it would be a good idea on providing references regarding the Whitehall Town and Country mall. These are also direct quotes:

  • According to a press release at the time of its opening March 6, 1949, there was “space for 1,500 cars and six lanes of ‘easy flow’ parking in front. A special lane allows ‘window shoppers’ to cruise in front of the stores. This is probably the only place in Ohio where shoppers may inspect windows of merchandise safely without getting out of their auto.” - "Our Hometown: Town & Country extolled in postwar Whitehall" by Steve McLoughlin Columbus Dispatch Nov. 22, 2019 Updated Nov. 25, 2019]
  • The Town and Country Shopping Center at Whitehall in Columbus, which opened in 1949, was one of the first malls in the country. On July 5, 1947, real-estate developer Don M. Casto Sr. announced plans for a million-dollar shopping center on E. Broad Street between Maplewood and Collingwood avenues, “just outside the city,” - Vintage Columbus facebook post.

This way we have main references.--174.99.238.22 (talk) 09:16, 15 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Going through the older versions there was this reference at one time: Lentz, Ed (2003). Columbus: The Story of a City. Charleston: Arcadia Publishing, 122. ISBN 0-7385-2429-8--174.99.238.22 (talk) 21:04, 9 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
