This article reads a bit like a tourist brochure, and I feel should talk a bit about the positive and negative effects of tourism in Ladakh. Maybe reference Helena Norberg-Hodge, the effects on the economy, and how tourism has promoted setting up of NGO's by westerners. I'm not sure I have the time myself, but I'll try.--Keithonearth (talk) 08:08, 22 December 2008 (UTC) The tourism in ladakh is the prominent foreign exchange earner in the region, so people of the region realise is its potiential of tourism. So during the last few decade it witness that, people of ladakh started looking tourism as ray of new hop, in order to improve the economic position of the region , which in turn increase the economic position of the country as whole. So people started utilising its resource in order to offer more tourism produut to the guest community.Reply

well taking about the positive and negative effect of the tourism, there is a well known fact that every coin has two side.So talk about the tourism it has also two side. but seeing the positve effect of the tourism we cannnot ignore its negative side, as discussiing about the negative impact of tourism, many tour operator company in ladakh started promoting sustainable tourism with care for eco tourism. As sustainable tourism mainly stress with conservation of natural resource of the region while providing better tourism product also which should not hamper its natural resource in future. Such a travel company in ladakh is Overland Escape which is only travel company to promote sustainable type of tourism in ladakh. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.94.236.40 (talk) 07:30, 9 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
