RfC: Is this article's NPOV really under dispute? / Should the POV tag be removed?

A POV tag was placed on this article and listed as June 2013. However, no NPOV dispute was ever filed on the NPOVN and there is nothing on this talk page. I'm placing the POV-check tag instead and creating a request for comment so that this can get resolved. Nobody ever input what they felt was disputed. Oppose The article mentions TORRES too often. I've removed unnecessary capitalizations in my last edit. There should be pronouns used instead. And unsourced claims must be removed or verified citing reliable sources. It requires edit on large scale to tone down promotion content and deleting unverified claims. I'm doing the same. Feel free to reinstate the contents being removed by me but you must submit to Wikipedia verifiabiliy standard (WP:PROVEIT). Regards, Anupmehra -Let's talk! 02:18, 15 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

alternative account Sorry, I could not make required changes. I've got to go. Hope, someone else would do it in the meanwhile. IndianWikipedian 03:14, 15 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
When was the album Torres actually released? It is said January 23 in the article and supported using a referenced published on January 22. How is it possible? The ref displays in the top, Torres, Torres [Review], POSTED BY STEVE HARUCH ON TUE, JAN 22, 2013 AT 9:31 AM, and Torres, Torres, (Self-released), Jan. 22, 2013. I'm confused. Is it January 22, 2013 album was released on? And on the same day at 09:31AM, a review was published? Anupmehra -Let's talk! 22:35, 15 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
I've been made changes, I felt should be made in order to remove POV tag except deleting few unverified claims. If anyone have questions over my edit, please raise it here on the article's talk page instead edit warring. Regards, Anupmehra -Let's talk! 22:50, 15 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Comment It seems to me this entire article should be nominated for deletion. If it gets nominated, someone please let me know. BlueSalix (talk) 03:38, 28 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Uninvolved editor responding to RfC request: (1) I do not see any basis for the NPOV tag, so agree with the OP that it should be removed; (2) seems like just barely enough third-party sourcing to justify the existence of the piece, so would like to see some expansion; (3) article needs heavy-duty copy editing to conform to Wiki style and to improve writing. For example, Torres was raised in Macon city located in the central Georgia, United States. is substandard. Tvoz/talk 01:51, 4 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Comment I'd agree. Since it has no clear NPOV dispute there's no point in the tag. The Pov check tag might at least find an issue to be fixed. Alternatively if it meets the criteria for deletion that will also take care of it.Serialjoepsycho (talk) 04:41, 8 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
