Toropa Estonians

According to Eesti Entsyklopeedia 1938 there lived a total of 3.800 Estonians in Toropa (Town) and seven ethnically inhabited villages in Toropets Raijon in 1914. What happened to them? They were originated from so called Valdai Estonians (Balts).

Russian official claims on the explosions are, well, understated

There is a literature of Russian officials making public statements about light damage from Ukrainian attacks. Many such are represented, and sourced, in the article today. For example, this prose "Igor Rudenya, governor of Tver Oblast, announced a partial evacuation of the town, claiming that the fire in Toropets was caused by Ukrainian drone wreckage and that there was no serious injuries nor casualties.[19][23][24][25]" with four citations listed.

But Russian-citizens citizen journalism is making it harder to maintain the fictions in the modern age. For example, Toropets, the aftermath is NOT the result of a few downed drones that were taken down by Russian defenses. We can expect more analytical media second source analysis in the coming days.
