TODD WAS BORN ON APRIL 28TH, NOT IN SEPTEMBER —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.210.5.110 (talk) 05:15, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

AMG (allmusic.com) says that Too Short was born in Los Angeles and moved to Oakland by the age of 14. I'm leaving this note because I don't have time for fact checking or rewriting at the moment.

Missing Album?

No mention of: Too Short - Freaky Tales The Saga Continues Part II (1988) Too Short - It's About Time Too Short - Dirty Rapps The Best Of Too Short (2006)

Guest Appearances?

Is this section necessary? It is mentioned earlier in the article who he has appeared with, and I don't think a list adds much value. The only way this could add value is if these are songs with their own unique entries -- none of which any of these are. I think this section should just be removed completely, it really doesn't add any value in my opinion. -Ameltzer 20:15, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

$hort made a guest appearance in a movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0179074/), which could be added somewhere66.60.28.218 11:27, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

I have some gripes here

First of all the earlier guy is right, Too Short was indeed born in LA and moved to Oakland at a young age. He talks about it in one of his videos, I'll try to find the source.

Second, Too $hort's biggest hit isn't "Freaky Tales", not even close!! His biggest commercial success BY FAR was "Don't Fight the Feeling". That song got a ton of radio play back in the day. Next up would probably be "Gettin It" which still gets play today occasionally, "Player Holiday" if you count that as a Too $hort song because it's a group deal, "Choosin", "In the Trunk", and a bunch of others. How can the author put "I Luv" on that list and not have the above songs??!?!?

That whole section needs to be redone.

  • You're right! redo it!

I disagree that Don't Fight The Feeling was his biggest commercial success. Radio play? What the heck radio stations do you listen to? By far his biggest hits were Life Is Too Short (tons of radio and MTV exposure) and The Ghetto. 67.170.10.225 03:11, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

Too Short has had many hits, however Freaky Tales is the song that got him exposure. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.105.7.183 (talk) 22:52, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Too Short's porn videos??

Anyone have a link? I don't think he ever did porn.

He did release several videos to promote his albums, these are basically music videos with interviews. Certainly not porn.

Anyone have a source for the porn??? I really really doubt this is factual.

Has anyone actually watched this? I would imagine if a rapper as popular as Too Short had participated in porn, then more people would know about it. I imagine his involvement was more of a guest director type of thing, like Snoop Dogg has done. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.105.7.242 (talk) 16:29, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Currently, the date is listed as 1988, but I believe it was 1983. -Patstuarttalk|edits 21:35, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

The Finale?

Is this album really gonna come out? Or is somebody just shitting everyone? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.171.37.115 (talk) 02:10, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

The name "Too $hort"

Mention how he got his stage name. I bet it came from his real name To-- Sh--. Or maybe there is a story of how one day he ran low on dough. Jidanni (talk) 04:59, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

wtf does this mean? "While most older rappers from the late 1980s-early 1990s (the Golden age of hip hop) have criticized those genres for their lack of lyrical complexity or content, Too Short has been one of the few west coast rappers active in that time to embrace the new styles"

Huh???? Most older rappers criticized WHAT genres?? If you are going to blindly copy and paste, well, just don't... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.81.78.95 (talk) 19:47, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Influence

That section is not neutral at all. It claims that Too $hort invented one of the most popular slang terms of the era, with no citation. The info on his lyrical content is good but no citation either. I think it can pretty much be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.85.58.74 (talk) 16:30, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
