Hey Tony. I'm writing this late at night and might not make sense, so bear with me.
There are two, possibly three issues with the article.
In order for an article to be allowed on Wikipedia, the subject usually has to be notable. Notability is subjective, but I tend to follow the community's suggestions when creating/editing pages (I used this one: WP:FILMMAKER). When the article was created, I assumed it passed for numbers 3 and 4. However, I now believe otherwise after a careful reading. If you still believe the criteria has been met, please provide a thorough explanation.
Also, the article's content needs to be verifiable (see WP:VER). Much of the body info lacks reliable sources, for all of them were primary or secondary. So to answer your question: if a respectable, independent news source (e.g. The New York Times, Reuters, government websites) can verify the claims, then yes--you can help by citing those claims.
Lastly, the article was written as though it was part of a resume (WP:NORESUMES). This can possibly be fixed by making the bio more fluid in style (rather than a list of works). Also, be advised: WP:AUTO#IFEXIST.
