Acute accent in surname?

edit

Most references to Tony Kotzé, especially motorsport results, refer to him without an acute accent in his surname, Tony Kotze. However, the accent is used in the news article that I sourced with ref name "news24.com". I don't know for sure which is correct, but when writing this article I took the view that the accent is correct, and that other sources had omitted it for ease of typing. If anyone has a definite answer on this, please add sources and feel free to correct me. At the very least, Tony Kotzé deserves to have his name spelled correctly in his Wikipedia article. @DanTickner: Only one (out of 10) of the sources (as you say) has the accent. At this stage WP:COMMONNAME may have an influence and I think we should stick with the plain version, at least for the time being, unless something more definite can be found. I think it would be OK to insert something like 'also shown in some sources as Kotzé' in the lead. FWIW most of the sources used are regarded as RS and the only other source I could find, with the acute was here, which may not be. Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 13:23, 5 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Eagleash: Thank you for your advice on this. I included your source and updated the article, along with Assegai (automobile). Cheers. DanTickner (talk) 14:39, 5 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
