disambiguation
editAnyone called Smith is bound to have a namesake in the same profession and sure enough there is now another Tommy Smith at, well, Watford. It has been suggested that the two should be disambiguated by year of birth rather than as Liverpool player and Watford player but there can be no doubt at all, not even among Everton or MUFC fans, about who is being referred to when football fans speak of Tommy Smith.
I recommend that this article should be the default Tommy Smith and that other Tommy Smiths, not just those at Watford, should be disambiguated from here. --BlackJack | talk page 21:11, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
bookings
There's a line on this page that says he was often booked - I read today on the bbc sport website that he was only booked 3 times in his career, and sent off once. I haven't checked this out with research but it comes from an interview him to promote an autobiography so I should imagine it's accurate - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7315069.stm —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.76.178.237 (talk) 20:07, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
Honours
Next to Smiths honours are dates, these dates are links, these links are wiki pages of each final won, his name is in the line up, there are external links at the bottom. If someone thinks it's sane to remove his honours as there no "citations", then the finals pages have to be removed too. If things are removed so recklessly due to the "no citation, then remove them rule" then 90% of wiki can be. It's ridiculous. SG73 (talk) 15:59, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
