This article says that the bear-dogs were mustelids. Not so. Mustelids are animals such as weasles, skunks, badgers, otters, ferrets.

It also says that there are only two recognized species. No there are others: T. temerarius, T. rurestris, T. paulus, T. opatus, T. robustus, T. thompsoni, T. confertus, T. kelogi.

This publication gives more incites into the morphology and diet of Tomarctus and it would be nice if this info could be utilized for the wiki page. https://books.google.com/books?id=V6zJEV2MEDEC&pg=PA8&lpg=PA8&dq=tomarctus+skeleton&source=bl&ots=wSUnvzsTf8&sig=ACfU3U3LNcfnBRFpIv9IX78wRTPZtwNPEw&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiZkrOSs6LmAhUJCKwKHdXdB9wQ6AEwDHoECAsQAQ#v=onepage&q=tomarctus%20skeleton&f=false — Preceding unsigned comment added by Palaeoc (talkcontribs) 02:59, 24 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
