Pronunciation edit

Can someone put a pronunciation note in here? There's nothing more embarassing than mispronouncing the name of a period etc.

Toe-AR-cian or Toe-ARK-ian, depending on who you are. I've always tended towards the "hard K". But I'm a geologist, not a Classics scholar. It's not a topic that ever was considered in my degree lectures. Aidan Karley (talk) 10:25, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dates edit

I note that two different age ranges are given for this unit - one in the lead and another in the infobox. Which, if either, ought we to go for? cheers Geopersona (talk) 07:57, 3 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

The current version (v2015/01) of the ICS Chart/ Time Scale (http://stratigraphy.org/ICSchart/ChronostratChart2015-01.pdf) gives 174.1 +/- 1.0 to 184.7 +/-0.7 Ma. Aidan Karley (talk) 10:36, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
