Whistle register

edit

Does anyone have a video or clip of her singing in the whistle register? 67.181.94.201 17:30, 27 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Here is a song by her entitle, "Don't Ask My Neighbor." It contains whistle register notes.

I was watching the movie 'sprung' yesterday afternoon starring Tisha Campbell and during the movie one of the soudtrack was playing 'Don't ask my neighbour', and the vocals were so good that for the whole movie I couldn't wait to see the name of the persons singing...Only to find out that it was Tisha Campbell and her friend from the comedy 'Martin' Tishina Arnold, and in that song Tisha did use the whistle register which was well done........ [1] - a 'hit'? I think if a show only lasts one season, it's not considered a hit. NOTE: I liked the show too, but it is what it is. 64.241.230.3 19:20, 5 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I appreciate your being a stickler for rules, but do not remove obvious information

To win a BET award, one generally needs to be ... I'll let you guess. I am once again adding the category. BMW 20:04, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I disagree that WP:V does not apply here. Please wait for consensus. Do not edit war. Ward3001 (talk) 20:13, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
No need to be snotty in edit summaries. Your deletion was challenged, therefore before you deleted it a second time (especially after it was re-added by a neutral editor) is was indeed your responsibility to investigate. BMW 20:59, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Wrong. The responsibility for the sourcing is on the editor who adds the information. Wikipedia does not operate with a policy of placing responsibility on the requester for sources to add the source. Ward3001 (talk) 21:07, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ok let me set it straight. Tisha Campbell could pass for Native American as well which supports why categories referring to African American must have a citation. If we did this the way you wanted to we would need no citation for Halle Berry, Tiger Woods, Vivica A. Fox, Terrence Howards, Rosa Parks, and many more. However, then comes the problem. None of these people are full blooded African American so if someone wants to add a category or information referring to that person's other heritage it gets challenged even if that person looks more like the other ethnicity. So therefore I myself will make sure that those categories are not added unless they come from reliable sources. Since you seem so concerned about adding the African American categories I suggeest you search and see what else is running through her veins she clearly isn't just African American. Have a great day.Mcelite (talk) 06:00, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

She self-identifies as black. Who are you to define others? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pandyu (talkcontribs) 16:10, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

With all due respect Pandyu, we're back to square one. Mcelite removed the source I provided because it is an earlier version of a Wikipedia article (a legitimate revert). Mcelite is not trying to define anyone, he is simply requesting a source. That's the way it's done on Wikipedia. Campbell's self-identification as black needs to be sourced. I'm not jumping into an edit war, but eventually it needs a citation. It's only a matter of time before the category is removed, either by me or someone else, if no citation is provided. I'm leaving things as they are for a while so that you or someone will have some time to find a reliable source. Ward3001 (talk) 17:38, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Is she African-American? Even if she's just half or a quarter, she's African-American then. It makes up her ethnicity. I don't know what is the problem here. 76.124.165.253 (talk) 08:46, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Disputed section

edit

The "Personal life" section was inserted by an anon editor in Sept 2012, and needs citations. The date of marriage disagrees with the year stated in the infobox and with IMDB. – Fayenatic London 08:28, 4 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. I have removed the section, per WP:BLP. When someone sorts out the details and gets cites it can be put back. Joefromrandb (talk) 19:36, 3 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
