As I did for Alan Baker, I have added a picture of Gowers from a lecture at the Fields Institute. I tried to justify its use the best as I could according to Wikipedia's guidelines. I think I have succeeded, as Alan Baker's picture has been left unharmed for weeks now. Education

Do we have a citation for Gowers being a King's Scholar at Eton? I thought he was just an oppidan?

No, he was a KS. See eg the interview with him on page 8 of this newsletter: "Thanks to Mrs Briggs I got a scholarship to Eton". Jheald (talk) 10:33, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Personal Life

I'm not sure we should include any information about the catheter ablation in the page. Prof. Gowers seemed hesitant on his blog to post personal information, and I think we should delete that part out of respect for his privacy. IPA

The IPA version of his name "Gowers" has an "r" apparently from the General American accent. Also, there is an "s" is at the end, but "z" is used in all English accents. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.95.123.216 (talk) 07:55, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
