editI deleted the section that listed his publications since it was basically the bibliography at the bottom converted to prose. Any thoughts? The article definitely needs a considerable overhaul - Jack39

edit"..He has examined the role of Europe in an increasingly post-Western world.." What about the world makes it increasingly post-western? Nickrz (talk) 17:10, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
Not an anti-communist?
editGarton Ash pretty much became famous in the first place because of his subversive work in encouraging the overthrow of Marxist-Leninist states in Germany and Poland. The old anarchist-marijuanese line that opposing "Stalinism" isn't "anti-communist" doesn't really work in the case of Garton Ash because he is explicitly a non-socialist, a liberal in both senses (socially liberal and economically neoliberal). He is quite open and proud of his anti-communist stance. Why wouldn't we put him in a category of English anti-communists? Claíomh Solais (talk) 21:21, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
Surname
editThe article treats his surname as "Garton Ash", but his sons are simply "Ash"; is "Garton" just a shared middle name with his father? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.109.197.144 (talk) 03:18, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
