Move to new title.

Is there any objection to changing the name of the article from "Timeline of the Trump presidency, 2018 Q1" to "Timeline of the Trump presidency, 2018, Quarter 1" — Preceding unsigned comment added by SenatorFreedom (talkcontribs) 03:01, 31 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Timeline of the Trump Presidency?

edit

If that is the case, then why are things like allegations of an affair he had back in 2006 included? Even if that were true, that was 12 years ago and long before his presidency so how is that part of the timeline of his presidency? Why are none of his accomplishments as president or anything positive ever included in this timeline? Only negative things are included, and the article is edit protected so that no one except editors can add to it, but what they are adding is fake news about alleged affairs from over a decade ago that have nothing to do with his timeline of presidency even if true, and nothing good that he actually accomplished as president. Why is that? 75.128.131.188 (talk) 23:05, 27 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

The affair from a decade ago isn't itself listed; the fact that news of it broke during his presidency is listed. Similarly, the article doesn't state that the affair occurred, it states that (reliable) reports on the alleged affair were published during his presidency. As for accomplishments: 1) that is subjective, 2) there are plenty of things listed that some may interpret as accomplishments, 3) his presidency has, objectively, seen the passage of fewer bills than during any other modern administration, and 4) if you or anyone else think something is missing, you can suggest it be added. 110.28.135.196 (talk) 11:55, 4 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please add the following to March 12, 2018:

  • Citing national security concerns, President Trump blocks Broadcom's proposed acquisition of Qualcomm.[1]

Public opinion poll

edit

Should have more than just 538 to prevent bias. This is an encyclopedia and I fear this is become slanted against Trump. Sovietmessiah (talk) 16:31, 16 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • I'm not sure what's being disputed here. FiveThirtyEight is pretty reputable and aggregates data from many polling agencies. If you'd like, we can add the RCP average as well; right now it's at 42.6% (within the margin of error of FTE's 40.7%). I don't perceive the sentence (simply stating the polling average) as being slanted for or against Trump. Davey2116 (talk) 16:48, 16 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
538 is well known to be skewered towards the left. Fox News poll should be added. Sovietmessiah (talk) 17:09, 16 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Fox News poll and 538 are not comparable. Fox News poll is not a poll aggregator. It is a telephone interview sampling poll of 1000 registered voters. 538 is a leading poll aggregator. It's predictions are gleaned from statistical analysis, not on the analyst's opinions. If anything it isn't 'skewed/skewered" at all but resides in the middle.―Buster7  23:39, 16 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Comments about guns and due process

edit

"Take the gun first, go through due process second"

I thought this would be a notable quote, as I've seen other quotes show up in the timeline. However I don't have edit powers on this page.
