Change page name?

edit

Anyone think the name of this article should be changed? I would suggest 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami timeline or something of that sort, since there have been other tusnamis in the Indian Ocean before, and it would be consistent with the names of the other articles. — Knowledge Seeker দ (talk) 08:29, 10 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Oh yes, definitely. I just changed the title ✏ Sverdrup 22:12, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Tsunami arrival times

edit

Are these not known by now? They should be added to this timeline as this is what I was expecting to find at this page. At the moment, it is just the actions of various organisations, which would be great if the actual wave arrival times were given in terms of time from a zero time (the moment the earthquake struck). Time Inaccurracies?

edit

I've been chasing timelines for this event around the Internet and it seems to me this page has some errors. In particular, the arrival time for Sri Lanka and Thailand was 2-2.5 hours after the earthquake. If the earthquake was at 0058 UTC then the arrival times should read 0258 or 0328 shouldn't they? I think the time posted for some of the events is the elapsed time and not the the arrival times.```` —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tpetra6 (talkcontribs) 13:09, 15 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
