Haplogroups edit

It strikes me as odd that the *only* people featured in this article as the original settlers of what today is Portugal are confidently stated as part of the R haplogroup. Presumably, this conclusion is the result of surveying the present day population and finding a predominance of haplogroup R Ydna, ergo this must have been the genetic makeup of western Iberia 50,000 or more years ago. That's absurd. There is no genetic proof for a statement of that certitude aside from an inference drawn from surveying the present inhabitants of the area. It is entirely possible that R1b carrying men were the first, but it is just as likely other haplogroups came before or that the first inhabitants represented a mixture of genetic signatures. That, in fact, is far more likely.

Hi Guys,

How can be done everything in Iberia by Phenicians and Celts??? And Why did they give GReek names in their cities??

Celts, in 1000BC, were living on trees and eating bananas! Only Greeks could create cities in Iberia in that period, and for this reason all the names of Iberia and cities are Greek.

And something else... WINE and OIL was made by Greeks for first time.
