Lead

• Here's my option for the lead:

"Time Will Crawl" is a song recorded by English singer David Bowie, serving as the second single for his seventeenth studio album, Never Let Me Down (1987). It was solely written by the singer, while production was handled by him along with David Richards. Released in 1987 by EMI, the recording addresses the destruction of the planet by pollution and industry; the Chernobyl disaster was a direct influence on the lyrics. The accompanying music video served as a teaser to Bowie's Glass Spider Tour (1987). Music critics were positive towards "Time Will Crawl", commending its lyrics and production, but also calling it one of Bowie's best efforts. Commercially, the single peaked at number 33 on the UK Singles Chart and at number seven on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

Done, with a few minor prose changes, also I thought it was important to keep the statement that Bowie later called the song one of his favorites in the lede as well, so I did :) It's not a direct quote but let me know if it needs a citation. 87Fan (talk) 17:00, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

• Cover artwork needs alternative text and a caption reading: "[INSERT FORMAT] cover artwork"
• The genres aren't cited in the article's body, so please remove them.
• Unlink David Bowie as writer
• Remove the other artwork, as one is enough

Done. I'm sad to lose the alternate artwork but I understand. Also, I see discogs.com lists the genre as Rock and Pop Rock, can we include those genres with citations? Unfortunately, we can't add the genres because Discogs is not appropriate for genres. Didn't any of the authors write about that?

• "Time Will Crawl" was written in mid- to late-1986 at Mountain Studios in Montreux, Switzerland by David Bowie, and produced by Bowie and David Richards. → "Time Will Crawl" was written and recorded by Bowie during mid– to late–1986 at Mountain Studios in Montreux, Switzerland. He also produced the recording alongside David Richards.(as a citation, please use like in Day-In Day-Out the album liner notes)

• In a contemporary interview, Bowie said the → alternate with "confessed" here

Long time friend of Bowie Toni Basil was responsible for the choreography. The video also features tour guitarist Peter Frampton, though he did not perform on the studio version of the song itself. → The dancers from the tour (remove (Spazz Attack) because it breaks syntax rules) all featured in the video alongside tour guitarist Peter Frampton. Toni Basil, Bowie's long-time friend, was responsible for the choreography.
• Are you sure [1] cites all that?

Live versions

• Please rename "Music video" in "Promotion" and put this there as an extra paragraph.
• The song was performed live only in 1987:

On all dates during the Glass Spider Tour - released on Glass Spider (Deluxe Edition) (2007) On the BBC's "Top of the Pops", but as the song had fallen out of the UK Top 40 charts by the time the performance was due to air, it was not shown. The full clip has since been uploaded to YouTube.[1] → "Time Will Crawl" was performed live in 1987 on all dates of his Glass Spider Tour, later released on the deluxe edition of Glass Spider (2007).(cite the liner notes of Glass Spider's deluxe edition here) That same year, Bowie also made an appearance during BBC's "Top of the Pops", but his performance was ultimately not aired on television due to the song leaving the top 40 of the UK Singles Chart at that time. However, his performance was later uploaded onto YouTube.(are you sure [1] cites all this?)
