Early Life

Was a total libelous mess. I re-added the original.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.71.238.253 (talk) 18:00, 27 October 2006

Sexual orientation

This article is listed in the Category:Gay, lesbian or bisexual people. I know curry played a bisexual in the RHPS, but that doesn't mean that he himself is bisexual. Of course he could be. Is there any documentation on this? Frecklefoot | Talk 15:40, Jun 6, 2005 (UTC)

There's no documentation. He's always been quiet about his sexuality. Malchick 16:09, Jul 18, 2005

As a general rule, don't assume someone is gay just because they're British. It's easy to jump to conclusions when it comes to the British, but most of them are, despite their appearance and personality, are quite heterosexual. --69.234.208.76 20:05, 14 August 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for insulting two groups at once, asshole --Kelt65 16:03, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Yep, all Brits dress in drag and talk like upper-class twats. All sixty million of us have exactly the same personality, too. Clever, aren't you? AlmightyClam (talk) 12:09, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

I too heard a rumor that he was. Well nonetheless he is a genius as an actor and a beautiful singer.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.195.71.59 (talk) 04:10, 9 November 2005

I was watching Vh1 the other day and on Pop Up Video it had a tribute to Rocky Horror Picture Show. During them playing "Sweet Transvestite" this came up "Tim Curry is happy talking about his interests to the press, they are cooking and gardening

What's the one thing he doesn't talk about to the press

His Sexuality"

Then a couple of hours later they aired this show where they suspect celebrities to be gay and one reporter stated that when he asked Tim, Tim asked for the tape recorder to be turned off, when the reported did Tim yelled at the top of his lungs "MY SEXUALITY IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!!!"—Preceding unsigned comment added by DaffyDuck619 (talkcontribs) 10:36, 29 May 2006

I think it's nice that you guys here respect that he wants to keep his sexuality private, but just for the record of this discussion page, he's not straight. BKmetic 02:08, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

I see; can you prove it? --KnowledgeLord 20:48, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Pirate King

I saw him in Penzance in '79 (or maybe early '80). It was a very campy production. Do we have anything citable about the production? Probably worth getting a sentence or two from a review if someone has access to one. -- Jmabel | Talk 03:28, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

He's an ACTOR. It's called acting.—Preceding unsigned comment added by TR Wolf (talkcontribs) 11:51, 12 March 2006

Ummm, Main picture?

I think someone has added the Clown from "It" instead of Tim Curry...—Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.177.104.77 (talk) 03:27, 25 October 2006

no thats what tim actually looks like, all the times you see him not looking like a clown he's wearing a ton of make up. in the film IT he said he wanted to perform in his skin, naked. thats what he naturally looks like.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.129.212.167 (talk) 11:54, 29 October 2006

Please. Thankfully someone re-submited a real pic and the real bio is back. In case the prior idiot or someone else decides to keep adding false and possibly libelous info, I'll keep an eye on this page.~CB—Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.71.238.253 (talk) 19:57, 2 November 2006

Looks like the picture is back...I can't say I know how to change the picture back though. Vter4life 19:45, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

Emperor Theodosius

Didn´t the guy play Emperor Theodosius in some movie about Attila the Hun? Because I seem to recall he did.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.58.205.33 (talk) 21:12, 29 November 2006

You're right; It aired on NBC in 2001, and Attila was played (appropriately enough) by 300's Gerard Butler. See the Wikipedia entry under "Attila miniseries"...—Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.133.3.182 (talk) 18:42, 14 June 2008

The lead picture is terrifying and must be changed

I'm sorry to whoever posted that picture, but it's downright terrible. I'm only a casual fan of the guy, having seen a couple of movies of his and enjoyed him mildly, but come on. That picture verges on slander, it's so god awful. Is there no better public domain picture of the man? I think (hope) wikipedia can do better.

Honestly. SlapAyoda 17:51, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Rocky Horror Picture Show Cover.jpg

Image:Rocky Horror Picture Show Cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:35, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, i wonder

Is it me or does Tim Curry and Jeremy Beadle look a little bit like each other? Dep. Garcia ( Talk + | Help Desk | Complaints ) 11:14, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

"Create a role"

The terminology "create a role" is always strictly applied to the actor who first performs the role publicly, and never to the author of a script or libretto (unless by coincidence they also first perform it). As a result, I have corrected what I regard as the erroneous description of Richard O'Brien as having "created" the role of Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show. Properly, O'Brien would be said to have "written" the role while Curry himself would be said to have "created" the role. Zigamorph (talk) 15:24, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

I agree. Richard O'Brien created the character, not the role. TINYMark (Talk) 15:44, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
