A general illustration of the hanging wall and footwall of an extensional zone would be a beneficial addition. You mention shearing of the footwall, so the addition of this illustration should further the understanding of the detachment fault process to the reader.
In the "Formation" section, the sentence "The basin fill occurs concurrently with exhumation" seems not to fit in and needs further explanation. If you want to include exhumation, then a little more elaboration on it is needed.
In the "Examples" section, more specific locations like you provided for the image of Tempe, Arizona, should be listed for interested readers to research. The examples listed are too broad.
The page looks good and I like your original figure. A few more labels on the figure are needed to educated the reader on what is occurring in the illustration.

Generally it is a good page but too short. Need to write more, more world link to wiki. also the figures needs numbers and refer to them in text also they need labels. Sadeghm2010 (talk) 15:41, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

Very nice page, I like the pictures and they all have very descriptive captions which is great. As Garrett mentioned there are a couple of terms that could be internally linked. I would like to see some sort of time lapsed cross section illustrating the erosional & basin fill process you described. The examples section, to me, seems like it could be done slightly differently also, maybe just a list of good examples or something of that nature. Also, the term origin section seems a little unnecessary, it could probably be fit into the introduction. Overall nice job.Amorse3522 (talk) 22:58, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
Overall it is a great page. Explanations in each section are very clear. Original figures are executed nicely. An animated figure would be awesome if you know how to do that, although yours illustrates it just fine with the three steps. Nice job editing your own picture and adding the outlines.
