Petrol electric with no battery storage is NOT a hybrid. Working on that principle - just about every diesel-electric rail locomotive would be classed as a hybrid, they are not! A hybrid in the automotive sense needs to have more than one motive power source and one of those should be an energy storage system (battery, flywheel, compressed air, hydraulics)81.106.218.66 (talk) 13:46, 5 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
