Notable wearers edit

Kassem G is the least notable person I can think of. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.94.167.141 (talk) 02:00, 16 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Actor Shayne Topp has a character named 'The Chosen'. The character wears the shirt and the character's motivations seem to be partly based on the reviews and symbolism of the shirt Amber.vanraak (talk) 19:08, 13 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Irony edit

An anonymous editor disputes the usage ironical. Please note the reliable sources provided which both describe the Amazon reviews in this way. Q.E.D. Colonel Warden (talk) 22:10, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Just because a BBC writer doesn't know what irony is doesn't make it valid. Alanis didn't know it either and yet had a hit song supposedly about irony (which is the only ironic thing about it). Please explain what's ironic about the SATIRCAL reviews? Do all OTHER shirts provide these powers and only this one doesn't?? Does this shirt make all women find you ugly and causes physical harm upon the wearer? All your "reliable sources" prove is that a lot of people don't have a clue about what irony actually is. --208.38.59.163 (talk) 23:00, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • Agreed that ironic is being used improperly, despite the source. M@$+[[@]] Ju ~ 07:09, 16 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Irony (n.) an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected. The use of the word "ironic" is okay. One wouldn't expect the reviews to be so preposterous and entertaining. Basically, ironic is being used as a synonym for surprising which is acceptable. Occamsrazorwit (talk) 03:39, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Older than the Amazon reviews edit

This kind of "Wolf Shirt" review dates back to January 2006, at least. Hyqeom (talk) 14:39, 14 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Seconded. Of course, it'd be original research to mention this, someone needs to find a blessed source to cite that mentions that link. Hobart (talk) 17:27, 27 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thirded. "Shapedoctor says...

I like this wolf shirt because wolves and shirts are shapes." Laughed hard, way before the Amazon version. Sad that the truth is little known. 00:12, 21 June 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2620:0:1000:110A:224:D7FF:FE9B:4C10 (talk)

ROFL: YOU made my day with this Wikipedia entry lol! That's what makes Wikipedia nowadays really useful: to give useless and unimportant crap information a stage. I say: wayne! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.148.31.189 (talk) 13:50, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fourthed. "phazlay says...

Five stars for shizzle. I went from nerdy internet boy, to ladies man overnight. Thanks wolf sweater. " Et cetera. The original was http://www.birkoph.com/Wolf_tshirt.htm but that went dark, now you can only read about it secondarily. https://web.archive.org/web/20140826074531/http://www.birkoph.com/Wolf_tshirt.htm Sadly this was before internet memes were considered encyclopedia worthy. I believe all editors thinking as such were rounded up and killed in 2011. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2620:0:1000:147C:7:6F88:B48D:E1CE (talk) 22:27, 7 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

No picture? edit

This seems like the kind of article that could really use a picture of what it's describing. Surely it would be justified here as fair use? Robofish (talk) 15:01, 11 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Popular Culture Section? edit

Would it be productive to add a section on the shirts appearances in popular culture to the page? I'm not sure if the Parodies and Attributions section is functionally the same, or if there is a way to lump them into one section.
