Name

I changed the article name from 'Thousand Talents Program' to 'Thousand Talents Plan'. The latter is in the official name, and is more widely used by authoritative sources. It was even (and remains) the main term in the lede of this article. Further discussion welcome, of course. - Onanoff (talk) 15:54, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

Thousand Talents arrests

This section is to allow people with further arrests tied to hiding affiliation with the programs. These should probably be added to the reaction section which already has one arrest of this type in it.

Professor Simon Ang of the University of Arkansas was recently arrested for hiding his affiliation with the program. Paraphrase

"They found that the scholars were high (but not top) caliber and outperformed overseas peers in last-authored publications because of greater access to larger research teams and better research funding in China" + "We find that YTT scientists are generally of high caliber in research but, as a group, fall below the top category in pre-return productivity"

My edit is reverted, and I want to know why? Why is the point of "outperformed overseas peers" not even mentioned at all? "Fall below the top category in pre-return productivity" means that compared to the top-tier caliber group in the former countries before returning to China, they were below that but still of high caliber regardless. 2600:6C44:117F:95BE:B133:AB97:8A85:A711 (talk) 23:02, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
