In the novel 1923 "Under the Desert Stars" by Frank Koester, there is this passage:

"like Tom Lawson who exposed the frenzies of high finance in Wall Street in his famous novel ‘Friday the Thirteenth.’ First they drove him from his large operations to smaller ones. Finally they ‘broke’ him. The recent sale of his four million dollar estate ‘Dreamwold’ was the last of the tragedies of Lawson’s life." -- Beardo (talk) 19:30, 12 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
