  1. Well written
    • Prose and grammar   looks good. I did some nitpicky cleanup, mostly for style and clarity.
    • Manual of style compliance:   I made a small change to the first sentence to emphasize his notability, per WP:LEAD. Other than that, it looks good.
  2. Factually accurate and verifiable Looks mostlygood so far. This was very easy to check, as almost all the sources were online, saving only the Dictionary of Oregon History. I'll go to the library and get that soon. The only major nitpick is the Cornelius Pass Road -- I added a link to the article, but it does not appear to credit Cornelius with building the road. Can you get another source for that?

  3. Broad in its coverage   The outlines of his life are all present, which, given the sources, seems like the best you can do. However, there's a lack of comprehensive coverage -- we don't know exactly what he got up to, what the major issues of politics in which he involved himself are, etc. It's not a bar to GA, but better sources will need to be found if you want to go to FA, I suppose (not being too sure of the FA criteria).
  4. Neutral
  5. Stable
  6. Illustrated   There's an image of the guy, which should be sufficient for an article of this length. However, if you want to expand, historical images of his farm, or of the road he built, or from Oregon's early history would help.

I'll try to get the Dictionary of Oregon History and take a look. Hope this helps, RayTalk 23:04, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

With the road, see the section of the sourced article under "Cornelius-Schefflin Road", its in the third paragraph (says "who developed Cornelius Pass Road"). Aboutmovies (talk) 00:33, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
