Coords edit

Is there a way to fix the geo-coordinates in the infobox? Thanks. ∞☼Geaugagrrl(T)/(C) 12:21, 14 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Spelling edit

The article says "Palastine" twice, which could be an old spelling of what is now Palestine or Israel. But the front cover you show at Image:LaVoyage-de-Bertrandon-de-la-Brocuiere HafodPress-1807.jpg says "Palestine". Art LaPella (talk) 16:31, 20 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

London Gazette search results edit

Gazette search results, I've already incorporated the relevant ones from teh first page of results, the link should go to the second page, those and the ones on the third page should contain some useful results. David Underdown (talk) 18:15, 23 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Lead section edit

The lead section needs to be greatly expanded to conform to Good article criteria. See Wikipedia:Lead section See Wikipedia:Good article criteria And, the three images at the bottom should be distributed throughout the article. Image galleries are not encyclopedic. Mansion location? edit

Where exactly on the property did the Hafod Uchtryd mansion stand? Anyone know? --RThompson82 (talk) 22:46, 2 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Education - the Thomas Johnes who became an MA of Oxford University in 1783 was Thomas Johnes of Llanrhidion, who pursued an ecclesiastical career. Foster, Alumni Oxoniensis does nt list the subject of this article, whose father was quite right to have sent him towards EdinburghDelahays (talk) 17:16, 17 July 2018 (UTC) This is correct as verified by Jesus College archives. A case of mistaken identity. Also he was not a FRS as verified by Royal Society lists of Fellows.Reply

Details of Hafod Uchtryd mansion better moved into article on the estate edit

The copious details of the Hafod mansion Johnes built and its contents are better utilized in the article on Hafod Uchtryd, which has little detail on the mansion in Johnes' time. Perhaps a summary detail giving his personal involvements could be allowed to remain in this article.Cloptonson (talk) 18:10, 26 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have copied the paragraphs into the article on the estate, which will leave scope for the text presently in this page to be reduced to biographical particulars.Cloptonson (talk) 12:49, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
