Factual accuracy

edit

This article states "In 1810, he founded Trinity Episcopal Church in Upper Marlboro." which links to St. Barnabas Church (Upper Marlboro, Maryland). It's clear that St. Barnabas Church, long predated this, being founded in 1704. If the article is talking about Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (Bowie, Maryland), that's false too because in 1836 Henderson's Chapel became an independent congregation, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. You correctly pointed out that there is an incorrect link (to the wrong church) in the article "Thomas John Clagett". This original frame church was replaced with a brick church in 1846, which still stands on Church Street in Upper Marlboro. The church has a history page -[1] - but this is my first discussion on wikipedia and I have no idea about rules for citations, links to non-wikipedia sites, etc. Please delete if this is an unusable citation. I am very interested in Upper Marlboro history and would like to see the entry corrected if possible. Let me know what I can do to help Db1787 (talk) 01:03, 12 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
OK. I've fixed the wikilink, added the source and removed the {{dubious}}. We should get a more authoritative source as that one appears to have been compiled by a church member, Anne Sasscer, but this is an improvement. Toddst1 (talk) 19:54, 12 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
