Was this pure vandalism? Alternatively, has the user conflated two different people called Thomas Harley, or what? I was going to revert this as the old version was according to the sources cited, but am leaving it for the moment. Peterkingiron (talk) 16:33, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Apparently the Thomas Harley b. c.1693, married at Abberley Broadwas, etc., may have been a natural son of the 1st Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer, but that's distinctly unproven. (Perhaps even unlikely; it's hard to imagine Harley's enemies would have overlooked his existence.) He appears to be only of genealogical importance, and is probably best omitted.
