This page should not be speedy deleted because... Colonel Thomas Gay played an important part in the Irish war of independence.He is mentioned in at least two biographical works about Michael Collins, and he was awarded the office of Colonel for his contribution in that war. In the movie Michael Collins there are meetings in a library these reflect the significance of Thomas Gay, who was the librarian of this library, since it was Gay that made the library a meeting place. Gay also provided a safe house for Collins. Gay was reputed to be a good friend of Collins though he was different in stature and temperament, standing at 5'2″ and loving to dance and sing.--Gabdoyle (talk) 04:23, 17 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
